Desenvolvida pela Ford Performance, ela \u00e9 uma das estrelas do programa de competi\u00e7\u00e3o da marca em 2024, que ser\u00e1 o maior da sua hist\u00f3ria.<\/p>\n<p>Baseada na F-150 Lightning, picape el\u00e9trica mais vendida da Am\u00e9rica do Norte, a Switchgear se junta a outros modelos el\u00e9tricos de demonstra\u00e7\u00e3o da Ford, como a SuperVan 4.0 e 4.2, o Mustang Mach-E 1400, o Cobra Jet 1400 e a F-100 Eluminator. Ela foi desenvolvida em parceria com o campe\u00e3o de drift Vaughn Gittin Jr. e sua preparadora RTR Vehicles, para enfrentar as condi\u00e7\u00f5es extremas das competi\u00e7\u00f5es off-road e servir como um \u201cbanco de testes\u201d para futuros modelos.<\/p>\n<p>A Ford criou duas vers\u00f5es da F-150 Lightning Switchgear: uma para estrada e outra fora de estrada. A configura\u00e7\u00e3o off-road traz enormes pneus Nitto Ridge Grappler de 37 polegadas e estepes extras na ca\u00e7amba, al\u00e9m de p\u00e1ra-choques e protetores de a\u00e7o. O seu visual \u00e9 marcado por elementos em comp\u00f3sito de carbono nos para-lamas dianteiros e para-choques e pela pintura em homenagem \u00e0 Ford Performance.<\/p>\n<p>No desenvolvimento da Switchgear, a Ford concentrou-se principalmente\u00a0 no chassi e suspens\u00e3o, com curso ampliado e amortecedores Fox de tr\u00eas polegadas de di\u00e2metro. A suspens\u00e3o dianteira \u00e9 independente, com bra\u00e7o duplo, e a traseira independente multilink com amortecedores helicoidais, barra estabilizadora e bra\u00e7os de controle personalizados.<\/p>\n<p>A bitola dianteira e traseira \u00e9 de 80 polegadas, bem maior que a da F-150 Lightning normal, para a estabilidade off-road.
